Building Long-Term Pro Bono Relationships Through Creative Clinics

Join Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) attorneys to learn how to effectively use clinics in building pro bono relationships and long-term recruitment of pro bono attorneys for full scope representation. Clinic models are often the first point of engagement with pro bono attorneys and provide an opportunity to build a foundation for trauma-informed practices and cultural responsiveness. KIND will present on best practices in a variety of clinic options, with a focus on discrete portions of unaccompanied children’s cases, including intakes, country conditions, case launch, employment authorization, and state court clinics for children eligible for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
