FOR ADVOCATES: FIND SUPPORT & BUILD COMMUNITY
CILA's Social Work Team created a library of social services specific written resources and training recordings for you and the unaccompanied immigrant children you serve. Some of the topics we cover are access to healthcare, education, mental health, guides for sponsors of unaccompanied minors, and self-care for advocates working with immigrant children and youth. Browse the library by clicking the button below.
Please note: A CILA account is not required to access most of these resources. Please write to us at cila@abacila.org if you have questions regarding your eligibility for a CILA Account.

Social work is a profession dedicated to promoting wellbeing, protecting human rights, and supporting individuals and communities
GROUNDED IN SIX CORE VALUES
CILA’s social work program works with legal and social service providers to strengthen culturally responsive practices that prioritize unaccompanied children’s wellbeing in the midst of complex legal and social contexts. Through tailored trainings, individualized technical assistance on cases, and in-depth resources, we hope to build capacity for social services staff, legal staff, and pro bono volunteers working with immigrant youth.
CILA also hosts the National Children’s Immigration Social Services Working Group, where social services staff at legal
service providers can share ideas, challenges, and offer each other support. The working group offers an opportunity
for community, so that we may collectively address the gap in social services and resources for immigrant youth.
