CILA’s website regularly shares creative models for pro bono engagement that are designed to help pro bono coordinators and others working with volunteers at legal service providers. These creative models showcase expert tips, ideas, and resources and have included interviews, programmatic highlights, and other useful tools for pro bono programs. They are intended to support pro bono efforts and foster community.
This month, CILA is pleased to share a creative model on the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center (NMILC)’s Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJS) Clinics. The resource is available here.
CILA is very grateful to Delaney Swink and Monica Newcomer Miller from NMILC for discussing their experiences with us. Their recent SIJS clinics successfully engaged over 40 pro bono attorneys. By sharing their approach and lessons learned, CILA hopes to encourage and inspire others who may be interested in or are doing something similar.
CILA is always interested in learning about and uplifting ongoing pro bono efforts. Please reach out to us at probono@abacila.org if you would like to work with us on a future creative pro bono model resource.
