PB Training 2026-3

The ABA Children’s Immigration Law Academy’s (CILA) presents a complimentary half-day CLE training, “Pro Bono Representation of Unaccompanied Immigrant Children” on Friday, May 1, 2026 in downtown Houston. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to attendees.

Join us to learn more about children’s immigration law and ways to help unaccompanied immigrant children from the ABA CILA team and experienced attorneys working at several nonprofit organizations in the Houston area.

The training will feature four presentations and cover issues on:

  • Current immigration law and policy trends affecting unaccompanied children
  • Common forms of humanitarian legal relief
  • Ethical considerations when working with a child client
  • Ways to get involved to support children in the Houston community who need pro bono legal assistance

With the changing the landscape, now more than ever, immigrant children need an advocate by their side. We look forward to seeing you there!
