The ABA Children’s Immigration Law Academy (CILA) invites you to join us as experts from the National Immigration Litigation Alliance (NILA) provide an in-depth training on filing petitions for writs of habeas corpus in immigration cases. This webinar will also discuss petitions filed on behalf of unaccompanied children in ORR custody and special considerations for filing petitions in unaccompanied children’s cases.

Speakers from NILA will address the nuts and bolts of habeas corpus petitions, including when and where to file a habeas petition on behalf of a client, what to include in the complaint, whom to sue and serve, and what happens after the habeas corpus petition is filed. This webinar is ideally suited for practitioners who may be new to filing habeas actions for unaccompanied children in ORR custody.
