The ABA Children’s Immigration Law Academy (CILA) and the National Immigration Litigation Alliance (NILA) invite you to a webinar presentation covering petitions for review and judicial stays of removal to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
To challenge a final administrative removal order, whether it be a decision by the Board of Immigration Appeals or a reinstatement order, one must timely file a petition for review with the appropriate circuit court of appeals. This webinar will offer a framework for the petition for review process, including an overview of the timeline, how and what to file, how to seek a judicial stay of removal, commonly filed motions associated with petitions for review, the mandatory components of briefs to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and what to expect after briefing is complete.
This training is pending approval by the State Bar of Texas for 1.5 participatory hours of CLE credit.
Speakers will include: Trina Realmuto, Executive Director, NILA Kristin Macleod-Ball, Senior Staff Attorney, NILA
