The Children’s Immigration Law Academy (CILA) is excited to announce the release of our new resource, Access to Healthcare for Immigrant Youth. This youth-friendly explainer is now available in English and Spanish.
CILA created this explainer to help immigrant youth understand the healthcare system in the United States. It includes information about their rights to medical care, how to access health care, and their options to get health insurance or participate in government programs to help pay for medical costs.
CILA hopes this resource will serve as a helpful starting point for youth navigating the healthcare system. It includes links to organizations that provide more detailed information on the benefits available in specific states.
