CILA is a project of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Immigration. We are a capacity building organization supporting attorneys, legal staff, social services staff, and pro bono attorneys working with immigrant children. CILA provides trainings, creates resources, hosts working groups, and answers technical assistance questions.

During a time when protections for immigrants including for children are at risk, CILA is committed and ready to continue supporting those working on the ground. We seek to uphold protection-based, humanitarian practices that serve as an example across the nation and globe.

CILA Newsletters: CILA sends out two newsletters: Champions for Immigrant Youth is a monthly newsletter for practitioners in the field with updates on news, policy, litigation, and more. Pro Bono Matters is CILA’s quarterly newsletter for pro bono attorneys and those who want to learn more and follow our work.
