New CILA Resource: Country Conditions Compilation – Conditions for Children & Youth in Five Countries with Criminal Group Violence

CILA is excited to announce that our recent graduate legal intern, Rebecca Valenzuela, created a new resource for advocates working on criminal group violence asylum claims. Criminal groups include transnational gangs, smuggling rings, human traffickers, and drug cartels or narcotraffickers. This 25-page resource, divided by country, features relevant quotes from select articles and reports about issues relating to criminal group persecution and forced recruitment of children and youth. This resource is intended to be a helpful starting point for advocates’ research on the issues.

The resource is available here. You will need a free CILA account to access it. Sign up for an account here. Contact CILA at cila@abacila.org if you need additional assistance accessing this resource.
