Greetings everyone! Many of you joined us for our training with NILA, Intro to Federal Court Practice. You asked for a Part II and NILA graciously obliged. So, here it is!
In February, we brought you a live webinar Intro to Federal Court Practice – Part II. In the feedback survey, you let us know that you enjoyed the training, and that a second, follow-up webinar would be helpful. We are so thankful to NILA for agreeing to record a Part II. It is ready to view, and it is excellent!
In the 70-minute webinar, Intro to Federal Court Practice, NILA’s Trina Realmuto and Mary Kenney delve into four of the major components of a federal court action: the anatomy of a complaint; the government’s initial response—Answer or Motion to Dismiss; the development of an evidentiary record; and finally, motions for summary judgment. The webinar also discusses practical considerations, including the timing of each of the above activities and when to reach out to opposing counsel to discuss settlement options. We hope you find their step-by-step guidance and tried and true tips helpful.
The webinar has been approved for 1.0 participatory hour of CLE credit by the State Bar of Texas. Check it out and use the CLE survey to get the course number for CLE credit or request a letter of attendance. As always, we welcome your thoughts, so fill out the feedback survey to let us know what you thought and to suggest other training topics you would like to see covered.
